In this episode, we will talk about ways to identify if your industrial oil is degrading. The first step towards understanding this is to be able to identify the various degradation mechanisms and how they can occur. We will cover all the 6 mechanisms (oxidation, Thermal Degradation, Microdieseling, Electrostatic Spark Discharge, Additive Depletion & Contamination) and tell tale signs of what you can do to identify if any of these mechanisms are present in your oil.
